Posters
I always love a good gig poster. They get you excited for upcoming shows/music/art, but without any doubt deserve their own recognition.
This poster (though, not actually a gig poster), by Methane Studios, is one of the selected works in the anual Poster Cabaret print set (check it out!) that caught my eye. I really like the symmetry, contrast, and colors.
More of Methane Studio's (actual) gig posters can be seen on their site.

Shipping Container Homes
Though not the coziest of materials, these shipping container homes sure are nice lookin'. Container homes like these are becoming more and more popular, but never have they grabbed my attention like these. This is a great example of upcycling, saving these valuable resources from a scrap yard or a life of rusting in a lot somewhere. Though I'm not sure I'd like to live in one, I'd sure come over and visit!

Son of a Floor Board!
A Dutch Company,Bolefloor, makes floorboards that are inspired by wood's natural edges and lines. They use CAD/CAM software to optimize the cuts and fittings, avoiding the wood's imperfections, and boy is it beautiful. This process results in less wood waste than standard straight cuts and increases the output from a single tree.

Offerman Woodshop
The past few weeks I've been trying really hard to find a wood shop that I can start putting together some projects in. All of the public spaces (only have found two in San Francisco so far) are sort of expensive to work in, and the private ones, well, are private (goal now is to find an apprenticeship in one of them). But, I have found a lot of cool things in my searches, one of them being Nick Offerman's woodshop.
Nick Offerman most famously plays Ron Swanson on the TV Series Parks and Recreation...an all time favorite character of mine. I knew that he actually did woodworking, but had yet to see his work. Offermanwoodshop.com displays some of Nick's and his co-shopworker's projects and I decided to make a post displaying my favorites (my favorite being the dining table above).

A walnut breakfast table. I love the dovetails binding the crack.

A walnut sideboard that I want. I wish there were more places in a small house to keep sideboards!
And the shop offers slabs, handpicked by Nick.
